JOB DESCRIPTION: Conceptual and detailed engineering of 33kv Rural electrification network to supply some parts of Uke and Pisali in Karu LGA of Nasarawa State.                 

Objective

The project’s aim was to extend electricity supply from the 33KV HT Line cutting through Uke on the National grid to Pisali town, a fast growing settlement as a result of mechanised farming activities around the area. The aim is to open the area to electricity access and improve economic activity of the people.

Scope of work: Our work scope was successfully executed and included producing the town layout to show various services road, Survey and align the poles positions, specify pole types and quality, Carried out sub-surface soil investigation to determine the soil depth and ability to carry required load, Check the commercial    activities of the community with aim of determining, load demand, step down requirement and other  requirements for installation, produced design report including drawings, bill of engineering measurement and      evaluation (BEME) and site specific engineering specifications.

 

Project Execution

¨ DAYLAD was able to provide detailed engineering drawings, provide estimation for work items and produce specifications and tender documentation within a time of 5 weeks from  commencement of field operation.

¨Engineering analysis carried out by DAYLAD includes, load study and demand estimation, short circuit analysis, selection and specification of poles, Transformers, switchgears and line protection. Earthing and lightning protection design, cable stringing and sag analysis.
